The presence of technology in our daily lives significantly affects the way we work and the conditions under which we work. As a product of advancing technology, artificial intelligence has already proven to have a profound impact. One of the areas most affected by artificial intelligence is the business world. The use of artificial intelligence will lead to changes in companies' business models, and it is inevitable that the work life will be affected by this transformation. It is predicted that artificial intelligence will lighten the workload on employees in the near future and by 2025, a total of 85 million jobs (such as customer service, accounting, driving, software engineering, coding, etc.) could be controlled by artificial intelligence. However, it is also estimated that, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, nearly 100 million new jobs (such as data detective, artificial intelligence business development manager, artificial intelligence-supported healthcare service technician, etc.) could be created.

With the widespread use of artificial intelligence, it is important to consider certain factors in the workplace and working environment. One of the most important issues that employees need to be cautious about when using artificial intelligence is to ensure the non-violation of confidential data. Many artificial intelligence tools can generate new information by using data entered by previous users. This could potentially violate the confidentiality of the data entered by users or infringe upon individuals' or legal entities’ intellectual property rights. For example, if a confidential data belonging to a customer, which has been provided under the framework of confidentiality provisions, is disclosed through an artificial intelligence tool without anonymizing the statements indicating that the data belongs to the customer, this could be considered a violation of the confidentiality agreement, even if the employee had no intention to breach it. Similarly, such violations can damage the reputation of companies and cause them legal and financial harm. This aspect imposes an additional obligation on employees and employers to exercise extra care when using artificial intelligence tools. Similarly, if it is necessary to use a confidential piece of information during the use of devices such as computers, phones, tablets, both employees and employers should ensure that the necessary cybersecurity measures are in place.

Another important aspect to consider is the need to verify the quality and accuracy of the data provided through the use of artificial intelligence. Relying solely on the data provided by artificial intelligence tools without any verification and basing decision-making processes solely on this data can lead to significant errors both for employees and companies. For example, a recent incident highlights this issue. According to a report by The New York Times, during a lawsuit against an airline company in the United States, it was revealed during the court's investigation that many court decisions cited by a lawyer who relied entirely on ChatGPT for his research were not real. This is one of the most important examples demonstrating how careful employees need to be when using artificial intelligence.

Things that should be taken into account during the use of artificial intelligence are not limited to what has been mentioned here. Both employees and employers should always consider the potential benefits and risks when purchasing and using artificial intelligence tools. Factors that may lead to violations of confidentiality and intellectual property rights should be evaluated in advance, the accuracy of the generated data should not be solely relied upon and should be verified using other sources. Similarly, providing training to employees on entering complete information during queries can also greatly contribute to the proper use of artificial intelligence.
